Camrose Police Service – 2012 Recruiting Process

To assist you in planning your calendar the dates of our process are:
Stage One: The application closing date is February 17th, 2012.
Stage Two: The two entrance exams will take place at the Norsemen Inn in Camrose on February 27th, 2012. Testing will take the full day.
Applicants who pass both entrance exams advance to the fitness test (A-PREP). There are a number of testing locations where this test can be taken prior to the submission of your application. It is strongly recommended that you take this test and submit your results with your application to avoid this step (Results of the A-PREP are only valid for 6 months and must be valid on April 30th, 2012). If you are unable to take the test ahead of time we will schedule applicants to take the test in Edmonton on February 28th, 2012. If you are taking the test with us we strongly suggest that you have your doctor complete the PARmed-X form and that you bring it with you. The PARmed-X form can be used to convey clearance for your participation in physical activity.
Stage Three: Candidates passing Stage Two will be scheduled for the Personal Disclosure Interview in Camrose. The interviews will be conducted between February 29th and March 6th, 2012.
Candidates advancing to the Behavioural Descriptive Interview will have their interview scheduled between March 7th and 13th, 2012.
Stage Four: Computer Voice Stress Analysis will take place in Camrose March 12th to 16th, 2012.
Psychometric Evaluation will occur in Edmonton on March 19th, 2012.
Stage Five: Background checks will be conducted March 1st to 29th, 2012.
Stage Six: The Police Service will make its final selection and make conditional offers of employment March 26th to 30th, 2012.
Successful applicants will start with the Camrose Police Service in April 2012. All Camrose recruits train with the Edmonton Police Service. The start date of the recruit training class is April 30th, 2012.
